Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun Resource Assessment Team visited the College on Monday, 25th November, 2024 to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the College’s facilities, marking a critical step toward the commencement of six new degree programmes in affiliation with the university. The visit, aimed at ensuring compliance with academic and infrastructural standards, was met with enthusiasm by the College management and staff.
The proposed degree programmes are: Bachelor of Education in Agriculture, Bachelor of Education in Entrepreneurship, Bachelor of Education in Transport Management, Bachelor of Education in Library and Information Science, Bachelor of Education in Creative Arts, and Bachelor of Education in Educational Technology. These programmes would enhance the College’s academic offerings and expand opportunities for prospective students.
The Resource Assessment team led by Professor Zabur Soluade, the Deputy Director of TASUED Academic Planning assessed facilities such as lecture halls, laboratories, libraries, administrative offices, and academic staff offices. The inspection also included a review of the teaching staff’s qualifications, the availability of learning resources, and compliance with health and safety standards.
In a preliminary briefing, Professor Soluade commended the College for its efforts to align with the university’s standards and noted that the collaboration has the potential to significantly impact higher education access in the community.
Speaking on behalf of the College, the Provost, Dr. Modupe Oba-Adenuga, expressed optimism about the assessment outcome. She stated that the College had worked tirelessly to meet the university’s requirements, adding that the addition of these degree programmes would strengthen the College reputation as a centre of academic excellence,
