On behalf of the Chairman, Governing Council, Prince Adeyemi Adefulu MFR, other members of the Governing Council, the Management, Staff and Students, I, Dr. Lukmon Adeola Kiadese, welcome you all to Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu-Ijebu, the 1st State-owned Higher Institution in Ogun State.

By the grace of God, I am the 2nd substantive Provost of Tai Solarin College of Education (TASCE) after its relocation to Omu-Ijebu in 2008. My appointment took off on 1st September, 2016.

During the first College Assembly I had with the College staff after my appointment, I told them that my mission was to restore the lost glory of TASCE and since then, all efforts are being geared towards lifting TASCE to an enviable height. It is noteworthy to let you know that all 25 courses being offered by the College have obtained FULL Accreditation status from the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE). Most importantly, the College is a degree awarding institution. Presently, the College is running Degree programmes in affiliation with Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye.

I believe that the Vision Statement of the College: “To be a Centre of Excellence in Teacher Education, Driven by People, Technology and Global Best Practices” and the Mission Statement of the College: “To continuously Provide a Veritable Opportunity for Improving the National and International Educational Landscape through the Production of Highly Competent professional Educators using Current Technique/Technology by a Highly Skilled and Capable Crop of Staff” should not just be mere words alone but must be a reality.
